Pickup soccer

Free, every week, anyone 16 or over. Bring a red shirt and a blue shirt. We split into two sides at the field and play.
What this is
A group of people in Erie who meet up once a week to play soccer. It is casual, but people try. Everybody keeps score in their head and nobody argues about it much. You will find players who have never played organized soccer on the same field as guys who played in college. It works out fine.
There is no team to make and no season to sign up for. Come every week, come once a month, or come once and never again. What we do ask is that you put your name down for the game you are coming to, so that we know there are enough people to play.
It costs nothing. No dues, no field fee, no equipment to buy. Bring water and your two shirts.

How to join
There is no club to join and no membership, and it stays free. What changed is that you now put your name down for each game before you come.
The reason is simple. People said they were coming and then did not, and other people drove out to a field with six players on it. So a game only goes ahead once enough people have signed up. If we are short, it is called off in good time and everybody who signed up gets an email, instead of everyone finding out at the field.
The Facebook group is still where a game is announced. Registering here is what makes it happen.
